With nearly limitless beverage options, you might not realize how much variety exists in the seemingly bland realm of tap water. This colorless refreshment can vary widely from city to city, house to house, or even sink to sink. Here are some surprising items that might show up in your water:
Insecticides and herbicides can wash into rivers and lakes and seep into groundwater. The pesticide atrazine has been linked to hormonal imbalances in lab animals but probably isn’t carcinogenic.
