Sunmark is excited to announce a major branch renovation. Sunmark opened our first standalone branch in Schenectady at 1616 Broadway in 1973. Today, Sunmark CEO Frank DeGraw announced a major renovation project to better serve our members in Schenectady.
Beginning Saturday, October 14 the drive-thru at the Sunmark Broadway location will be closed for approximately two weeks as Sunmark installs new Interactive Teller Machines which, when complete, will allow members to bank 24 hours a day, seven days a week on their schedule.
Once the drive-thru work is completed, construction will move inside for a complete renovation of the interior. Sunmark will install Interactive Teller Machines and construct a complete new work space with new offices. Sunmark’s Interactive Teller Machine solution will provide full service banking transactions for Sunmark members, as well as ATM transactions for non-members, in a fully integrated self-service kiosk platform. Help and support for those using the new technology will be provided in person at the branch and through remote video tellers that are centralized at our Member Solution Center in Latham, NY.
During the construction, the Schenectady branch will remain open utilizing space in the rear of the current branch location.
Sunmark is excited about this project to better serve the Schenectady community with award winning technology and updated interior. The grand re-opening of the Schenectady branch is planned for early December.
