From The Sunmark Staff: Must-Do Fall Activities

It’s like a huge billboard telling you “Summer is OVER!” The yellows, reds, and oranges of fall bring a whole new season of fun activities with them that many people view as their favorite time of year.

Sunmark employees are no different, and we asked our staff what their favorite fall activities are. Halloween? Pumpkin spice in everything? Crisp, cold mornings? Let’s find out . . .

Dale Josephson, Secondary Market Specialist, Latham: “My favorite fall activity is watching the Ole Miss vs. Alabama football game with my older brother. Because we were both in college for two overlapping years at the schools, my brother and I have been to or watched every game together. It’s something that I look forward to every year.”

Danielle Wattsman, Draw Management Administrator, Latham: “I love to go apple picking with my family! There are so many great apple farms around us. We usually go to Bowman's or Indian Ladder Farms. We always get our apples, cider, & fall decor.”

Adam Rozek, IT Security Manager, Latham: “Apple picking with family. Good times for everyone!”

Colleen Bushey, Closing Coordinator, Latham: “Fall camping. There's nothing better than gathering with friends and family at a campground around a campfire. The camping is amazing because it allows you to all be in the same place together for an extended period of time.”

Katie Vitale, Member Relationship Advisor, Member Services Center, Latham: “My favorite fall activity is literally everything you can do in the fall! I love apple picking, Halloween parties, haunted hay rides, and watching scary movies. Those are my top choices!”

Zinc Opie, Senior Member Relationship Advisor, Clifton Park: “Fall/Autumn, all tree and leaf changing color is my favorite season of the year. Decorating my home in fall season is something I enjoy and look forward to doing things to make my home feel cozy. I especially get ready to welcome friends and family for ‘GOOD FRIENDS, GOOD FOOD AND GOOD TIMES.’”

Joanne Gomula, Mortgage Originator, Latham: “Looking at the colors of fall, pumpkin carving with my grandson.”

Shelli Jaracz, Senior Mortgage Underwriter, Latham: “I love going to pick fresh apples with my husband and daughter at Terrace Mountain Orchard. We will prepare about 6 apple pies and freeze them, so when company comes over, I can just pop a pie in the oven, and it’s ready to go.”

Robert McGilpin, Member Services Representative, Saratoga: “I personally love going to Fright Fest at Six Flags and watching people pay to get scared. I think it’s hilarious and I love Halloween.”
