BSA Analyst

Our Risk Management department is looking for a new team member.

This position will be responsible for daily compliance of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) requirements. Assists in maintaining current, formal and adequate Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management programs that meet the credit union’s corporate goals and objectives and complies with applicable laws and regulations. Provides backup to the fraud, security, quality control, compliance, and general risk managements functions. Serves as a resource to Sunmark staff regarding various risk management topics. Provides administrative support to the department and department committees.

Typical hours are Monday-Friday 8-4:30pm however can exceed as needed due to security notifications.

The ideal candidate will have a college degree with experience in BSA/AML or compliance, preferably within a financial services industry. Must be well organized and have strong communication skills to work within sensitive information.

FT Member Service (Teller)-Colonie, Glenville and Clifton Park

Our Colonie, Glenville  and Clifton Park branches are looking for new team members. The primary purpose of this position is to provide WOW service while accurately processing transactions daily and researching member questions as needed. Member Service staff cross-sell all credit union services to qualified members whenever possible while attaining established goals.

Branch hours: Must have flexibility to work Monday-Friday, rotating Saturdays with option for time off during the week. Actual shift may vary based on branch opening/closing/balancing needs.

Member Relationship Advisor-Brunswick and Rotterdam

Our Brunswick and Rotterdam (Altamont Ave) branches are hiring!

This position provides competitive hourly pay plus a lucrative incentive program.

The primary responsibility for this position is to assist members by providing product and advisory information.  Researches and solves member questions in person or refers members to the appropriate staff specialists. Cross-sells all Credit Union services to qualified members.   Attains monthly sales goals.   Opens, services and closes all types of personal and business accounts.  Ensures that membership and loan applications are completed accurately and contain all necessary documentation. Conducts consumer loan closings, secures required papers, explains all legal documents, and reviews documentation for accuracy. Accurately processes daily transactions, including, but not limited to, all types of deposits, withdrawals and payments.  Processes cash advances and transfers, redeems bonds and processes insurance and credit card payments. 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum High school graduate or GED plus a 1+ year of banking experience OR demonstrated sales ability. Excellent communication skills a must.

Mortgage Sales Assistant


Are you looking to gain experience in pursuit of becoming a Mortgage Originator (Loan Officer)? If so, this is a great opportunity to work directly with the Originators and Processors to gain the experience needed.

This position will have an hourly rate plus eligible for bi-weekly incentives based on mortgage volume.

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the mortgage loan officers by contacting past referrals and pre-approvals.

1.      Assist Loan Officers in all aspects of the lead and application process

·         Effectively make follow calls on Leads and Pre-approvals on behalf of the loan officer

·         Assist in collecting needed Income Documentation from the borrowers

·         Update and review current mortgage applications

·         Assist in submitting completed loan applications into Processing and Underwriting

·         Assist in gathering needed documents from borrowers for underwriting and closing process

·         Review final Closing Disclosures with Borrower before closing

·         Communicate with Realtors and Lawyers during loan process

2.      Follows up on incomplete applications to offer assistance and/or to determine applicant’s intentions.

3.      Answers member questions regarding mortgages and the process. Schedules appointments to take applications either in person or over the phone at the member’s convenience.

4.      Coordinates with the mortgage processors on the processing of the application. Communicates with the applicant and other parties respectively on the progress of the application.

5.      Completes follow up with mortgage partners to ensure loan closes and resolves any problems while ensuring compliance guidelines.

6.      Assist Mortgage Originators with rate lock expirations to ensure the loans are closed, funded, and sold to the secondary market prior to rate lock expiration.

7.      Assists the Mortgage Originators with choosing the program best suited for the applicants needs by determining the applicant’s ability to qualify using information on the credit report, income and assets.​​​​​​​ 

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong computer proficiency and prior clerical and/or sales experience.
