Assistant Member Relationship Manager-Latham

Sunmark is looking for a new team member to join our Management team at our Latham branch, 1187 Troy Schenectady Road.

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Manager in ensuring that the member service line is run in an efficient and productive manner, while maintaining compliance with overall credit union policies and procedures.  Promotes and participates in a sales and service culture consistent with the credit union’s mission of exceeding member expectations. Serves as a leader and role model to member service staff, effectively creating a high quality work environment where they are motivated to perform at their highest levels.  Provides leadership and enhances, develops, implements, and/or enforces policies and procedures that improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the branch.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a financial institution, preferably exposure to the Teller function to become familiar with routine policies, procedures and terminology. Must have prior supervisory experience, strong computer & organizational skills.

Commercial Closing Attorney-Latham

Sunmark FCU is looking to hire a Commercial Closing Attorney.

This position is located at our Latham Administrative Offices, 1187 Troy Schenectady Road, Latham/Route 7.

Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8-4:30pm, occasional evening hours as needed.

The primary responsibility of this position is to close commercial loans. Position is also responsible for closing first and/or second mortgage real estate loans to be sold to investors or retained and serviced by a third-party servicer. This individual will be responsible for building and developing relations and other referral sources.   Candidates should have a law degree, licensed in NY and have prior real estate closing experience to assure thorough knowledge of NY title laws and other relevant laws, legal codes, legal/court procedures, precedents and government regulations including real estate laws, RESPA, TILA, CFBP and processes documents specific with assigned procedures. Work with minimal supervision, establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, co-workers and court systems.

Member Service- Schenectady, Glenville & Brunswick

Our Schenectady, Glenville and upcoming Brunswick branches are looking for new team members. The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the daily member service operations including, but not limited to staff training, new employee orientation, and staff scheduling.  Maintains adequate workflow between the TCR and ITM service stations and ensures all policies and procedures are uniformly followed.  Supervises staff in the absence of management.  Promotes and supports staff in achieving sales goals. Assist members using our Credit Union technology resources.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of High school graduate or GED and prior Teller experience. Demonstrated ability to meet sales goals and proficient with computers. Must have excellent communication skills. Supervisory/team lead experience preferred.

Mortgage Closing Paralegal-Latham

Sunmark’s Mortgage department is GROWING!!!

This position is located at our Latham Administrative Offices, 1187 Troy Schenectady Road, Latham/Route 7.

Typical hours Monday-Friday 8-4:30pm.

The primary responsibility of this position is to manage real estate purchase transactions from contract execution through closing and work with 3rd party vendors to ensure timely and accurate closing. Works in conjunction with the Mortgage Team to ensure an efficient workflow.  Promotes and participates in a service culture consistent with the credit union’s mission of exceeding member expectations.  

Our caseload is growing and the ideal candidate for this position is organized, professional, responsible, and committed to helping us meet all of our members’ needs. Prior Real Estate Paralegal experience preferred.

Program Coordinator-Investments (Life Stage Advisory)-Latham

Sunmark’s Investment department, Life Stave Advisory is looking for a new team member.

This position is located at our Latham Administrative Offices, 1187 Troy Schenectady Road, Latham/Route 7.

Typical hours: Monday-Friday 8-4:30pm

A typical day in this position will consist of scheduling appointments with members and our Financial Advisors providing administrative support for the team.  Acts as Life Stage Advisory’s liaison and program champion.  Works closely with Broker Dealer and financial representatives to insure overall program success. Assists with program tracking, sales goals, sales contests, and budget planning. Assists with member, employee, and vendor calls regarding the Life Stage Advisory program.   Directs them to the appropriate areas for assistance and/or resolution.  Adheres to all regulatory polices and procedures relating to the investment services industry.  Markets the Members Financial Services program to both employees and members by assisting with seminar preparation.  This may include assembling seminar packets, making room arrangements, keeping branch materials well supplied and current and coordinating mailings. Offers legendary services with every interaction, consistent with Sunmark’s mission, core values and Good Vibes brand.

 The ideal candidate will have a HS Diploma/GED or higher with a minim of 2 years financial services administrative experience. Knowledge of Word, Excel & Outlook knowledge with strong organizational skills.
