Accountant Generalist

 This position works at our Administrative Offices, 1187 Troy Schenectady Road, Latham.

 Typical hours, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.

 The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the balancing of the Interactive Teller Machines (ITM’s), Mastercard Activity and Mortgage Fundings. Reconcile merger accounts, assist with workflow and daily branch balancing processes and post incoming and outgoing wires.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting/Finance with prior accounting experience preferably within the bank/credit union industry. Strong working knowledge with Word and Excel and strong attention to detail.

Assistant Manager-Call Center

Our Management team within our Latham Call Center is hiring!!!

Business Hours: (Must have availability to work within the hours listed) If an employee is scheduled for a Saturday, a half or full day will be given during the week to meet the 40 hour work week schedule.

Monday-Wednesday 8-5pm, Thursday & Friday 8-6pm, Saturday 9-1pm.

The primary purpose of this position is to supervise staff and ensure proper loan and underwriting staff coverage as required. Monitors all loan application and referral systems to maximize effectiveness and staffing levels.  Assigns loans and underwriting duties among staff to guarantee that all applications, underwriting, and referrals are properly completed. Conducts quality reviews of loan applications ensuring that credit union policies and procedures are followed. Coaches and motivates staff to achieve sales goals.  Prepares promotions to increase sales of credit union products and services. Completes accurate reports necessary to track all data required to effectively manage the call center.  Analyzes information and suggests improvements. Interviews loan applicants to inform members of current rates, policy requirements, and the lending services offered by the credit union.  Receives and underwrites loan applications. 

The ideal candidate will have a High school graduate or GED or higher plus prior banking/lending/credit experience. Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills a must. Prior leadership experience preferred.

Member Relationship Advisor-Brunswick

The primary responsibility for this position is to assist members by providing product and advisory information.  Researches and solves member questions in person or refers members to the appropriate staff specialists. Cross-sells all Credit Union services to qualified members.   Attains monthly sales goals.   Opens, services and closes all types of personal and business accounts.  Ensures that membership and loan applications are completed accurately and contain all necessary documentation. Conducts consumer loan closings, secures required papers, explains all legal documents, and reviews documentation for accuracy. Accurately processes daily transactions, including, but not limited to, all types of deposits, withdrawals and payments.  Processes cash advances and transfers, redeems bonds and processes insurance and credit card payments. 
 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum High school graduate or GED plus a 1+ year of banking experience OR demonstrated sales ability. Excellent communication skills a must.

Member Service-Call Center

Mortgage Sales Assistant-Latham

Are you looking to gain experience in pursuit of becoming a Mortgage Originator (Loan Officer)? If so, this is a great opportunity to work directly with the Originators and Processors to gain the experience needed.

This position will have an hourly rate plus eligible for bi-weekly incentives based on mortgage volume.

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the mortgage loan officers by contacting past referrals and pre-approvals. 

Assist Loan Officers in all aspects of the lead and application process

  1. Effectively make follow calls on Leads and Pre-approvals on behalf of the loan officer
    • Assist in collecting needed Income Documentation from the borrowers

    • Update and review current mortgage applications

    • Assist in submitting completed loan applications into Processing and Underwriting

    • Assist in gathering needed documents from borrowers for underwriting and closing process

    • Review final Closing Disclosures with Borrower before closing

    • Communicate with Realtors and Lawyers during loan process

  2. Follows up on incomplete applications to offer assistance and/or to determine applicant’s intentions.

  3. Answers member questions regarding mortgages and the process. Schedules appointments to take applications either in person or over the phone at the member’s convenience.

  4. Coordinates with the mortgage processors on the processing of the application. Communicates with the applicant and other parties respectively on the progress of the application.

  5. Completes follow up with mortgage partners to ensure loan closes and resolves any problems while ensuring compliance guidelines.

  6. Assist Mortgage Originators with rate lock expirations to ensure the loans are closed, funded, and sold to the secondary market prior to rate lock expiration.

  7. Assists the Mortgage Originators with choosing the program best suited for the applicants needs by determining the applicant’s ability to qualify using information on the credit report, income and assets.

  8.  

  9. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong computer proficiency and prior clerical and/or sales experience.
