Saturday, October 31, 2020: Your Columbia-Greene FCU account will officially convert to a Sunmark account. On this day, you will not have access to either account. You will not be able to use your Sunmark or Columbia-Greene FCU debit card or utilize ATMs, but you can begin using your new Sunmark checks, if applicable. Any change in rates or fees will take effect at this time. Sunmark’s branches and Member Solution Center will be closed for the account conversion. 

Sunday, November 1, 2020: Your Sunmark account is now active. Please note, your Columbia-Greene FCU debit card and checks will no longer work. Please begin using your new Sunmark debit card.

Monday, November 2, 2020: Welcome to Sunmark! All of our services are now available to you, including our branches, Member Solution Center, Online and Mobile Banking, mobile app, and more! Who is Sunmark Credit Union?

Why is this merger good for me? 
The merger will provide several key benefits, such as convenient access to new competitive products, services and opportunities. We also offer state-of-the-art technology and a comprehensive suite of online and mobile banking tools. Sunmark has the same member service philosophy as Columbia-Greene FCU so members will be treated with the same quality experience. We currently offer thirteen convenient branch locations across the area with access to 30,000 surcharge-free CO-OP ATMs nationwide.  

Will the Columbia-Greene FCU branches remain open? 
Yes! The current Columbia-Greene FCU branches will remain open with the same familiar employees that will continue serving you. You will also see some new Sunmark faces!

When will my Columbia-Greene FCU account officially become a Sunmark account? 
On November 2, 2020, your Columbia-Greene FCU account will officially become a Sunmark account.

Will my account number change? 
Yes, all Columbia-Greene FCU members will be receiving new account numbers. All members will be receiving a packet in September that will include a new account number and information regarding important actions.
 
Will the rates on my Columbia-Greene FCU accounts change? 
Yes, savings and checking rates will be updated to reflect Sunmark’s rates on October 31, 2020, [ENTER ANY EXCEPTIONS IF APPLICABLE].

What online and mobile services does Sunmark have? 
Sunmark offers real-time online banking, mobile banking with free remote check deposit, text and email alerts, online BillPay, and eStatements. Interested members can sign up easily by calling 866-SUNMARK or stopping by any branch on or after November 2, 2020.

Will I continue to receive statements?  
Members will receive paper statements through October 2020 from Columbia-Greene FCU. Beginning with your November 2020 statement, all members will begin receiving statements through Sunmark. To sign up for eStatements, or to receive copies of any statements, please call 866-SUNMARK on or after November 2, 2020.

Will I still receive tax documents?
You may receive a 1099-INT and/or 1098 Form from both Columbia-Greene FCU and Sunmark, if applicable. These statements will be mailed to you in January 2021. The Columbia-Greene FCU tax statements will report dividends received and/or interest paid until October 30, 2020. Sunmark will report dividends received and/or interest paid from October 31, 2020 through December 31, 2020. If dividends received/interest paid are less than the reporting threshold for either period, no tax statement will be issued.

Will I have access to ATMs?
Sunmark has a number of ATM and myTMs (Interactive Teller Machines) throughout the area. In addition Sunmark participates in the CO-OP Shared Branching Network, which boasts nearly 30,000 ATMs across the country that you can access as if visiting a Sunmark ATM. Will I need to update my direct deposit?
Yes. Beginning November 2, 2020 you will need to update your direct deposit with your new account information.

Will I need to update my Bill Pay?
No. Any payments you have scheduled through Columbia-Greene FCU Bill Pay will automatically carry over to Sunmark’s Bill Pay system beginning November 2, 2020.

Can I still use my Columbia-Greene FCU checks?
You can still use your Columbia-Greene FCU checks through October 30, 2020. Beginning October 31, 2020, you will need to begin using Sunmark checks. Starter checks will be provided to you free of charge before October 31, 2020. A free box of checks will also be provided if requested. Checking accountholders will receive more information on this before October 31, 2020.

Can I still use my Columbia-Greene FCU debit card?
You can still use your Columbia-Greene FCU VISA® debit card through October 30, 2020. Beginning November 1, 2020, you will need to begin using your Sunmark Mastercard debit card as your Columbia-Greene FCU debit card will not work. Your new debit card will be provided to you free of charge before October 31, 2020. Please note you will not be able to use your Columbia-Greene FCU or Sunmark debit card on October 31, 2020. We apologize for any inconvenience.

I have a loan with Columbia-Greene FCU. Will anything change? 
For most loans, your payment, rate and terms will remain the same. Members can continue making payments just as you do now. Mortgage holders will receive more information regarding their loan transfer from Midwest, Sunmark’s servicer, before October 31, 2020.

I have an Overdraft Line of Credit. Will anything change?
If you currently hold an overdraft line of credit with Columbia-Greene FCU, there will be changes and you will receive more information in September’s packet.

What about my automated Columbia-Greene FCU loan payments and transfers?  
If you have any automated payments and transfers from a Columbia-Greene FCU deposit account to pay a Columbia-Greene FCU loan, there will be no changes. 

What if I currently have Credit, Life & Disability Insurance on my loan(s)? 
Your insurance will automatically transfer to Sunmark and your rates and terms will remain the same.

Will hours of business change at my current branches?

What if I already have a Sunmark account?
If you already have a Sunmark account prior to the merger, on November 2, 2020 your Columbia-Greene FCU account number will convert into a brand new, separate Sunmark account number. If you would like to combine your multiple Sunmark accounts post November 2, 2020, please call 866-SUNMARK or visit any of our branches.

Can I open a Sunmark account prior to November 2, 2020?
Absolutely! The Hudson and Coxsackie locations of Columbia-Greene FCU will have a Sunmark employee visiting for the month of [MONTH] to discuss Sunmark products and services, and to answer any questions about Sunmark. Please stop by the either location or any Sunmark branch to say hello!
