Our Member Solution Center, located in our Administrative Offices, 1187 Troy Schenectady Road, Latham-Route 7, is looking for a new team member.

The primary purpose of this position is to enhance member service by offering Sunmark’s products and services, via outbound calling, to members and non-members. Seeks to attain established goals on key products as assigned on a monthly basis. Interviews loan applicants to inform members of current rates, policy requirements, and the lending services offered by the credit union. Works closely with the Member Solution Center staff to resolve any member service issues.

Qualifications:  High school graduate or GED plus 1-2 years of demonstrated sales ability. Excellent communication skills a must. Prior related credit union/financial experience desirable.

Competitive hourly wage plus lucrative incentive potential based on attainment of sales goals.    

Hours of work are typically Monday through Friday 8:30am-5pm but may include some weekend hours as needed.

Sunmark’s Mortgage department is looking for a new team member, 1187 Troy Schenectady Road, Latham.

Hourly rate plus monthly incentives based on closed loans.

Summary of responsibilities:

  • Schedules internal closings requesting initial documents (ie: Homeowner’s Insurance binder, payoffs or statements of sale). Verifies all expiration dates have been met based on closing date.
  • Prepares closing documents for all internal closings verifying accuracy of documents. Cuts checks and/or initiates wire transfers for each closing on disbursal date.
  • Prepares and files assignment of mortgages with the county clerk’s office once a mortgage loan has been purchased by investor.
  • Submits all recorded Mortgage documents and Final Title Policies to our investors. Manages Final Document reports to ensure any outstanding items are requested in a timely fashion.
  • Performs weekly pipeline reviews with Mortgage Closing Attorney to review personal rep files.
  • Act as back up to Mortgage Closing Attorney when necessary, communicating directly with clients, other attorneys, title companies, etc.
  • Cross trains with Mortgage Funder and Mortgage Closer to act as back up when necessary.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of high school diploma/equivalent and 3 years of real estate closing experience. Paralegal experience preferred. Must have strong attention to detail with excellent communication, computer and time management skills.

Our Ballston Spa branch, located at 202 Northline Rd is looking for a new team member!

The primary responsibility of this position is to serve members by providing product and advisory information and services.   Researches and solves member questions, problems, and complaints either by telephone, written correspondence or in person or refers members to the appropriate staff specialists. Cross-sells all Credit Union services to qualified members.   Attains established group and individual key sales results on products and services as assigned on a monthly basis.    Opens, services and closes all types of personal and business accounts.  Ensures that membership and loan applications are completed accurately and contain all necessary documentation. Conducts consumer loan closings, secures required papers, explains all legal documents, and reviews documentation for accuracy. Accurately processes daily transactions, including, but not limited to, all types of deposits, withdrawals and payments.  Processes cash advances and transfers, redeems bonds and processes insurance and credit card payments. 

 Qualifications: High school graduate or GED plus a minimum of 1 year of banking experience with demonstrated sales ability. Excellent communication skills a must.  Must obtain Mortgage Loan Officer certification within 6 months of employment.
