Sunmark is looking for an experienced Mortgage Processor. This position is located at our Administration Building, 1187 Troy Schenectady Road in Latham.

Typical hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 – 4:30 pm. Some evening and weekend hours as needed. The mortgage department is flexible with the shift but MUST be able to work a minimum of 40 hours.

  • Reviews mortgage applications submitted from Mortgage Originators. Reviews income, Assets, DU/LP Findings, and Appraisals prior to submission to investors. Re-scores loans through automatic underwriting system if necessary. Ensures that all documentations needed for the underwriting analysis is present and accurate prior to submission to underwriting.
  • Reviews the Loan Estimate to ensure all regulation Z procedures were followed.
  • Re-disclose the Loan Estimate if a change of circumstance has occurred.
  • Reviews purchase commitments from investors. Collects any outstanding conditions from member in order to get loans to cleared to close status.
  • Performs the following duties once the mortgage application is received from the Mortgage Originator: obtains written verifications of employment, orders tax transcripts, orders debt monitoring notifications, and flood certificates.
  • Keeps in constant contact with members, mortgage originators, Realtors, Attorney’s, etc. on status of the mortgage application.
  • Prepares copies and mails commitment letters for all approved mortgage loans to all appropriate parties. Indicates the amount approved and specific terms and conditions of the loan.
  • Uses paperless system to process all mortgage files paperless. Updates status of applications in point and makes comments in conversation log with application status.


The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of mortgage processing experience, strong computer proficiency, organizational skills and attention to detail.

Job Summary:

  • Traffics projects, obtains print for each campaign, promotion, and Marketing piece, sending print and electronic materials to vendors with the best bid, negotiating timelines and managing vendors to assure jobs are delivered on time and within budget.   Meets with prospective vendors to discuss new promotions, products or upgrades, determines vendors to include in the bidding process.
  •  Execute sales communications/collateral projects. Support internal and external product launch. Deliver on marketing communications programs, including collateral, events, communications, and direct response programs, with a focus on branding communications.
  •  Administer branch merchandising plan, soliciting and communicating branch feedback on various elements of branch collateral.   Solicits input, orders, tracks and distributes marketing supplies to the branches, ensuring staff have current marketing materials when policies or procedures change.
  •  Compile annual schedules of activities with ability to keenly articulate marketing messages.
  •  Assists in concept and coordination of various communications and marketing activities.
  •  Responsible for verifying the accuracy of Marketing invoices
  • Support of community, marketing and foundation events


The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications and/or a minimum of 1-3 years experience in Marketing with a concentration in Marketing Communications. Must have strong attention to detail and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and preferably Adobe Creative Suite (google Analytics & Adwords a plus).

Our Colonie branch located on the corner of Central Ave and New Karner Road is hiring a FT Member Service Representative (Teller)

The primary purpose of this position is to provide WOW service while accurately processing transactions daily and researching member questions as needed. Member Service Representatives cross-sell all credit union services to qualified members whenever possible while attaining established goals.

 Qualifications: High school graduate or GED. 6 months cash handling (preferred), retail/sales and customer service experience. Computer proficiency and excellent communication skills. Prior related credit union/financial experience desirable.

Business Hours: (Must have availability to work within the hours listed) If an employee is scheduled for a Saturday, a half or full day will be given during the week to meet the 40 hour work week schedule.

Monday-Wednesday 8-5pm, Thursday & Friday 8-6pm, Saturday 9-1pm.

The primary purpose of this position is to research and solve member questions, problems, and complaints either by telephone or written correspondence. Achieves and maintains designation as Notary Public and provides notary services as requested. Attains established group and individual key sales results on products and services as assigned on a monthly basis. Accepts membership applications, ensuring each application reflects proper signatures and receipt of all legal documentation pertaining to member accounts. Ensures that all member information is complete and accurate.  Processes business transactions as well as opens sub accounts for consumers and businesses.  Conducts consumer loan closings, secures required papers, explains all legal documents, and reviews documentation for accuracy.


Qualifications: High school graduate or GED plus a minimum of 1 year of demonstrated sales ability, preferably in the banking industry. Excellent communication skills a must. Mortgage Loan certification will be required within 6 months of employment.
