Sunmark realizes how important education is. That's why we not only offer Guaranteed Student Loans for your financing needs, but we've also included a step-by-step guide on how to apply for a student loan, as well as a list of some helpful resources.

How to apply for a student loan:
1)	Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).	Apply now: www.fafsa.ed.gov‡
2)	When you receive your Student Aid Report (SAR) and your Award Letter from the school indicating you are qualified for a Stafford Loan, fill out a Federal Stafford Loan Master Promissory Note (MPN) and bring it to Sunmark Federal Credit Union with your School Certification Form.	Download an MPN form now.
3)	If the financial aid award is not sufficient to cover all the costs listed on your award letter, your parents or stepparents can apply for a PLUS loan (if you are a dependent undergraduate student.)	Download a PLUS loan application now.
**	If you do not qualify for either Stafford loan, your parents or stepparents can still apply for a PLUS loan (if you are a dependent undergraduate student.)	Download a PLUS loan application now.

Each year Sunmark awards five $500 scholarships to high school students about to enter college.

You can download a copy of the 2008 Sunmark Scholarship Application and once complete, drop it off to your nearest Sunmark branch.

The deadline for applications is Friday, January 25, 2008.
