Report a Phishing Incident
We appreciate
you taking the
time to report a suspicious or unwanted email. Please know
that Sunmark Federal Credit Union only sends
emails to our members who have opted in to receive
such communications.
Sunmark will NEVER under any circumstances send an unsolicited
email
requesting personal or account-related information.
Unfortunately, phishing scams are perpetrated by criminals attempting
to obtain personal information from individuals for fraudulent
purposes, and are using many financial institutions good names
to do so. Most are based out-of-country, making prosecution difficult.
By providing Sunmark with specific information,
you can help us counteract phishing
attacks. When you
forward
these
fraudulent
emails
to us, please
follow
the
instructions
below, making sure to include the email headers
which are important to help us analyze them and
work diligently with the authorities to shut down as many
of these
fraudulent sites as possible as quickly as possible. Together,
we can all work toward reducing such fraud in the future.
